Cocaine. Crocodiles. Colin Farrell. Welcome to a one night stand gone full on rogue. MERCURIAL is a twisted dark comedy that pays homage to our most memorable worst dates. It asks the question: How far will we go for love? Winner of Best Show at Riverside Studios' Bitesize Festival and programmed as a Shed Original reading in 2025, MERCURIAL returns to the shed as a pressure cooker dialled up to 11. This will be a special stripped-back version of the show, reimagined for Shedinburgh.
This is an archived listing from the 2026 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. MERCURIAL is by Rosaleen Cox, listed under Theatre in the Fringe programme. It plays at Shedinburgh @ Assembly Checkpoint, 2 Bristo Place, EH1 1EY, 16 August to 17 August.
The show runs 55 minutes and is suitable for ages 16+. Entry is free. Content warnings: Distressing or triggering themes, Scenes of a sexual nature and Strong language.
