This exhibition makes a splash as we dive into Scotland’s relationship with rain – from weather forecasting, fashion and film, to rain-soaked love stories, climate, and everything in between. When people think of Scotland, they often think of rain. Scots, in turn, have always had a lot to say about it! Our relationship with rain is both practical and deeply woven into our culture, landscape and national identity.
This is an archived listing from the 2026 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Rain is by National Library of Scotland, listed under Exhibitions in the Fringe programme. It is at National Library of Scotland, George IV Bridge, EH1 1EW, 3 August to 31 August.
The show is suitable for ages 0+. Entry is free.
